Digital Job Analysis
The digital job analysis is a more concise form because it focuses on the physical demands related to the job of injury. The digital pictures allow for a quick review of job tasks (e.g. the physician does not have to review a form that describes the amount of hand activity, walking, standing and stair climbing for a person with a shoulder injury).Benefits of a Digital Job Analysis:
- Provides a form that physicians reportedly like and is easy and quick for them to review. (Often can e-mail the form to the physician and obtain input within 24 hours).
- Decreases discrepancies between client, employer, plaintiff counsel and other related parties with regards to what the physical demands of the job are because it provides visual aides documenting the job tasks.
- Allows physical therapist to view the job and focus therapy and work hardening around the work tasks.
- Once approved by physician, the job analysis provides evidence that the client is employable whether or not the client returns to work.
- Objectively documents whether or not the client can return to employment with employer of injury which promotes appropriate vocational planning and decreases length of time out of work.
