Job Seeking Skills Classes (JSS)
Injured workers who have limited work skills and/or vocational barriers would be potential candidates for a job seeking skills class. In this class, injured workers will learn resume, cover letter and interviewing skills. The classes are held in all locations where case managers provide service. Classes are rotated every three weeks to each case manager’s locale. Classes are held at ESC offices, libraries or facilities appropriate for participants to attend. Classes are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Injured workers will complete an application coupled with discussion regarding appropriate resume information and cover letters. Local employers will then provide mock interviews to participants and job placement will be available for all participants of job seeking skills classes. Each participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement and leave with the confidence that they are job-ready.
