Dana received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1980.  She is a licensed registered nurse in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.  Dana’s nursing experience includes eighteen years of home health care management with a specialty in Home Infusion Therapy.  Dana is certified as a Medical Case Manager since 2002 (CCM) and has experience with severe orthopedic and catastrophic injuries. Dana has additional certification as a Certified Registered Nurse in Infusion Therapy (CRNI), which includes certification for chemotherapy administration.  Dana’s clinical nursing experience includes, home health with orthopedics and rehabilitation services, oncology, cardiology, Infectious disease treatment including AIDS/HIV care and education.  Dana has been a member of the National Infusion Nurses Society and Oncology Nurses Society for ten years.  She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (NCARP) in the Asheville, NC area.  She lives in Sylva, North Carolina with her husband and two sons.
