Katie earned her nursing degree from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC in 1994. She has been a nurse for over sixteen years with strong work experience in trauma, orthopedics, spinal injuries, pain management and chronic disease management. She began in a post-surgical unit at a hospital, transferred to ICU, and then went into the home health field after having her first child. She has been working as a nurse case manager since 2001. She is a licensed RN in South Carolina is a Certified Case Manager (CCM).
