Kim received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University. She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with several years of experience in these areas as well as with job placement/careers and counseling. Kim worked providing vocational and medical case management services to injured workers from 2001-2003, including vocational evaluation, transferable skills analysis, job analysis, job placement and labor market surveys which result in return to work for the injured worker. Prior to coming to work for Carolina Case Management in 2007, she has assisted individuals with all disabilities in their efforts to return to work in both the private and public sector. Kim is a member of the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association and Past President of the North Carolina Rehabilitation Counseling Association. She is the recipient of the North Carolina Distinguished Service Award from the NC Rehabilitation Counseling Association, 2007; Distinguished Service Award from the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association, 2007; Appreciation Award from the NC Rehabilitation Counseling Association, 2002-2003.
