Charlita graduated from Trocaire College in Buffalo New York in 1996 and obtained her RN License for the state of New York in 1997. She relocated to Charlotte, NC shortly afterwards and obtained her RN License for the state of NC. She secured a position as a hospital “floater” nurse throughout the Carolinas Medical Center system and after 1 year she accepted an RN staff position with CMC – Orthopedics, a specialty office that consisted of 3 orthopedic surgeons; Dr. Edward Hanley Jr – Orthopedic Spine Surgeon/Chair of Orthopedic Surgery; Dr. Michael Bosse – Orthopedic Trauma Surgery and Dr. Steven Frick – Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. One year later, Charlita was promoted to Charge Nurse and she remained in that position for 2 years
while moonlighting at CMC Urgent Care part-time. In 2000, Charlita decided to leave the clinical setting and this is where her career as a field nurse case manager began. She became CCM certified in 2003 and has worked as a field and telephonic case manager ever since. She joined Carolina Case Management in 2023. In her spare time, Charlita enjoys spending time with family, friends and traveling internationally as often as she can.
