Cheryl received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from East Carolina University College of Nursing in 1984. She is a member of the National Honor Society of Nursing. She holds a nursing license in North Carolina and Virginia and received her certification in case management in 2002. Her clinical experiences in the field of nursing include medical-surgical nursing, orthopedics, cardiac/telemetry, surgical, education, utilization review, inpatient hospital and outpatient-based discharge planning, and catastrophic and complex injury cases. She also has strong background in utilization review, medical bill review, operations of commercial and Medicare insurance, and chronic disease management. She has held various positions ranging from staff nurse to director of health care management. Cheryl has been a Worker’s Compensation field case manager for the past 13 years. She joined Carolina Case Management in 2018.
