Kionna graduated Cum Lade with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and as a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society from Winston Salem State University in 2005. She worked in Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine and as a Travel Nurse before transitioning into workers' compensation. She worked for an insurance company as a Telephonic Case Manager for 11 years specializing in aggressive case management and utilization review, then started working as a Field Case Manager in 2019 in the Charlotte and surrounding areas. She joined Carolina Case Management in 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her husband, son and dog, working out and trying new restaurants.
