Toni Buckner, RN, CRRN – Director of Telephonic Case Management

Toni serves as the Director of Telephonic Case Management for Carolina Case Management, where she has been a leader since joining in 2009. She brings 27+ years of experience in workers’ compensation and 30+ years of overall case management experience across both field and telephonic settings. Toni’s clinical and professional background spans adult and pediatric surgery, labor and delivery, medical and disability case management, PCS case management, utilization review, and workers’ compensation. She is a Registered Nurse and has been Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certified since 1999. She specializes in telephonic case management leadership, program oversight, and complex case resolution, with a strong focus on delivering quality services for carriers, injured workers, and employers. Toni approaches her work as a problem solver who fosters a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment, encouraging team feedback to improve processes and drive efficient, outcome-focused case resolution. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and being on or near the water whenever possible.
