Tonya received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Johnston Community College in 1994. She has obtained numerous certifications through various fields of nursing such as lactation consultant, child health screener with immunizations, public health nursing, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. She began her Workers’ Compensation career in 2001 and obtained her Certified Case Manager Certificate in 2003. In addition to working in public health and labor and delivery, Tonya has a medical surgical background and has performed legal nurse consulting for a law firm.
